About

Led by Dr. Roque Diaz, Progressing Forward, LLC is a consulting firm dedicated to advancing sustainable diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices across nonprofits and educational institutions. We work alongside organizations and the individuals who shape them to move from transactional efforts to transformative impact. Through capacity building and strategic infrastructure development, we help communities embed equity into their core mission and create lasting change that reflects today’s realities.

Our Why?

Cultural change—whether it's cultivating new audiences, creating accessible pathways from student to professional, ensuring balanced representation, or building a true sense of belonging—starts with defining the why.

At Progressing Forward, LLC, we help nonprofits and educational institutions uncover and articulate the purpose behind their DEI strategies. Is there a shared framework guiding the work? Are equity competencies in place? Is there a trusted facilitator supporting the journey? Sustainable change begins when all stakeholders are engaged in shaping the why—together.

What is your “why?”

Our Commitment

At Progressing Forward, LLC, we are committed to partnering with nonprofits and educational institutions to challenge systemic inequities and shift dominant narratives that exclude or marginalize. We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just values—they are essential practices for creating sustainable, mission-driven change across sectors. Our work is rooted in intentionality: celebrating and centering the voices, leadership, and experiences of historically excluded communities to build more just and equitable futures.
